Webinar on “Drug De-addiction”organised 

Chandigarh: The NSS wing of Post Graduate Government College, Sector -46, Chandigarh in collaboration with VADA CLUB (Victory Against Drug Addiction) organised a webinar on the theme “Drug De-addiction” here today.  Principal of the college Dr. Abha Sudarshanappreciated the initiative taken by Dr. Sidharath, Incharge, NSS to make everyone aware about the spreading menace of drugs in the society. The speaker of the webinar was Dr. Mukesh Chauhan. In his talk he said that the entire world today is confronting this major social issue and there is a need to tackle the menace of drug abuse by acquiring new dimensions so that the youth can be saved. He also suggested various measures to control it by adopting yoga therapies,management techniques and self restraint. Around 100 staff members and students participated in programme enthusiastically. During the webinar a slogan writing competition was also organised.Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dean too graced the occasion by joining the webinar. Dr.Baljit Singh, vice-principal of the college proposed the vote of thanks.
