Chandigarh, 15th August 2023– St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32, joyfully marked the 77th Independence Day, marking 76 years of freedom. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Nation First, Always First,” .The school hosted a special cultural extravaganza featuring captivating performances by students.

The significance of Independence Day resonates deeply in the hearts of Indians, as it pays homage to the peaceful struggle of our forefathers and foremothers for freedom, setting an inspiring example for the global community.

Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including the honourable Chief Guest, Dr. N.Jayasankar, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, as well as School Manager Rev. Father Ambrose D’Souza  and Sister Principal Siji Issac.The event commenced with the unfurling of the national flag, followed by a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem that echoed unity and solidarity among the entire school community, expressing unwavering devotion to the nation.

The students then, presented a lively programme that encompassed patriotic poems, soul-stirring songs, and captivating dances. The performances painted a vivid picture of our nation’s unity in diversity, igniting a dynamic and exhilarating ambiance.

 

The event was executed with remarkable vigour and a profound sense of patriotism, encapsulating the spirit of India’s enduring journey towards freedom. St. Anne’s Convent School proudly contributed to the grand tapestry of ““Nation First, Always First,”,” fostering a shared sense of pride and celebration in the hearts of all attendees.
