Formal signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DST-Centre for Policy Research (CPR), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh and Knowledgentia Consultants, New Delhi held today (15 Feb. 23) in the presence of worthy Registrar of Panjab University, Chandigarh Prof. Yajvender Pal Verma. He welcomed the initiative and urged both the parties to address the issues related to Intellectual Property (IP) and enhance the IP knowledge through collaborative activities. Knowledgentia Consultants is an International Intellectual Property (IP) and Corporate Law Firm. The MoU will cater the capacity building through awareness programs on IP, collaborative publications and will give exposure and support to the students and faculty of the university to enhance and upgrade their research into IP and technology. The signing parties will organise the awareness programs on copyrights, patents, industrial designs, trademarks, geographical indications by holding seminars, workshops and training with industry to promote IP/technology commercialisation in the university. Prof. Kashmir Singh, Coordinator of DST-CPR, PU shown his presence for the formal signing ceremony on behalf of DST-CPR, PU whereas, Ms. Aparna Jain and Ms. Harinder Narvan, the co-founders along with their Associate Partner, Ms. Aashrika Ahuja on behalf of the Knowledgentia Consultants. Prof. Kashmir Singh highlighted the vision of this collaboration that it will provide mentorship in the domain of IP ecosystem and translational research ecosystem in the university.
