Haryana DGP prisons hands over cheque of Rs50 lakh to wife of late sh. Laxman Singh sweeper
Chandigarh, May 24- Director General of Prisons, Haryana, Sh. Mohd. Akil today handed over a cheque of Rs 50 lakh as accidental death insurance claim to Mrs Meena, wife of late Sh.Laxman Singh sweeper, who had laid down his life in the line of duty.
He urged the family members to provide best education to the wards of deceased as this will be the real tribute to the departed soul. Police will provide all kind of facilities to them under the welfare schemes of the Department.
He said that under the accidental, Natural insurance cover, compensation amounting to Rs 4.29 crore has been released to 77 dependent families.
Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the members of bereaved family, he said that Mr Laxman would be long remembered for his excellent services to the Prisons Department.
Director General of Prisons, Sh. Mohd. Akil, Sh. Vipin Nodal officer, Haryana, prisons Hdfc and family members of late Sh. Laxman were also present on this occasion.
