Regulatory Compliance Burden was reviewed.

In a high level meeting convened by the Department of Industries under the Chairmanship of Worthy Adviser to the Administrator, the status of Regulatory Compliance Burden was reviewed.
Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav, Home Secretary, Sh. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, Finance Secretary, Mrs. Anandita Mitra, Commissioner, Municipal Corporatio, Sh. Vinod. P. Kavle, Secretary (Food & Supplies), Sh Yashpal Garg, Secretary Health, Sh S. S. Gill, Secretary Sports, Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Nitika Pawar, Secretary Social Welfare and Ms. Purva Garg, Secretary Education were present in the meeting.
Out of 1130 compliances,903 compliances by different Departments of Chandigarh Administration have been done. 122 compliances are pending, majority of which will be completed by 31st May, 2022. The Adviser directed all the departmental heads to ensure that not a single compliance remains to be addressed. With this, the first phase of RCB compliance would be completed.
The second phase of RCB compliance is also underway in which the Departments are expected to find out more areas in terms of self assessment of procedures/rules/regulations/laws/acts/forms/information/sought in these forms/documents, fees charged/ issuance time, etc.which could be simplified. The Departments were asked to take regular stake holders consultation to identify and reduce even those burden and compliance which were not taken up in phase-1 as also conduct on ground assessment of impacts of the reforms implemented. The Adviser said Chandigarh should lead in terms of reducing the compliance burden and the work done in this regard by different departments should result in seamless and hasslefree experience of citizens interaction with Govt.at various levels.
Another review meeting for EODB will be held shortly with focus on providing facilities to industries.
