Panjab University Girls Hostel No.8, Florence nightingale, under the aegis of DSW office and able guidance and motivation of Dean Student Welfare(Women). Prof Meena sharma has organized a special web lecture on 25th January 2022 ,to commemorate National Girl Child Day which is celebrated across country on 24th January ,for the staff and the residents of the hostel.
Ms Prabhjot Kaur, State Coordinator, Department of Social Welfare, UT Chandigarh was distinguished speaker on the occasion. Ms Prabhjot Kaur in her address emphasised on the relevance of commemorating the national girl child day. She raised many issues like gender sensitization, equality , right of girl child , girls safety etc .
Dr Simran Kaur, Warden GH-8 welcomed the Guest.
Prof. Meena Sharma, DSW (W) introduced the theme and distinguished guests to the audience.
Students interacted with speaker and discussed many issues. Warden of other hostels were also present in the webinar.
