The Young Communicators Club (YCC) of the School of Communication Studies (SCS), Panjab University, organized an interactive session with former Executive Director of Air India Mr. Jitender Bhargava. The objective of the event was to give practical insights into the field of Public Relations and its intricacies. The event commenced with a welcome note, followed by the Chief guest’s address to the students.
Mr. Bhargava addressed the audience on the aspects of Public Relations and shared his personal anecdotes from his years of experience in the industry. He stressed upon three essential factors that a PR professional should inculcate, namely- knowledge of the organization you are working for, articulation, and confidence. He stated that “information” is the key to a successful career in PR.
Post his address, the floor was open for the students to ask questions related to Public Relations to Mr.Bhargava, which he answered with delight and enthusiasm. This enabled the students to achieve an effective understanding of the Public Relations sector.
The event concluded with the attendees expressing their gratitude to the Chief Guest for enlightening them with his valuable thoughts.
