City’s relators start a campaign to save Chandigarh; will make people aware about the building bylaws

Chandigarh. For some time it is being observed that the people of the city are in a state of confusion. People who dream of buying a private plot in Chandigarh and building their own house are currently thinking that there is a ban on construction in the city. People also believe that illegal construction takes place in the city, due to which people are hesitant to invest. But in fact situation is nothing like that. Chandigarh Building Rules are being strictly followed in the city and no one is violating the rules, said Kamal Gupta, President of Property Consultants Association.
Association Chairman Tarlochan Singh Bittu along with other members of his association started an awareness campaign for the people at Hotel Mountview. The association also launched a Facebook page KNOW REALITY OF CHANDIGARH PROPERTY on this occasion, through which they would make the people of the city aware about the Chandigarh Building Rules and further said that the development of the people will happen only when the city develops. Therefore it is necessary to save Chandigarh. At this time people are more likely to invest in tricity but if people show interest in Chandigarh only  then the development of the city will take place.
The burden of population will not fall on the city…
General secretary of the association, Jatinder Singh, said that the illusion is being spread that the burden of population will increase in the next 10 years. He said that in the Master Plan 2031, the population of the city has been estimated to reach 1.6 million in the next 10 years. He said that even if all the private plots from 1 to 47 sectors in the city are made triple story and people start living  on each floor, even then the population of these sectors cannot exceed 3 lakhs.
These are some important rules related to building bylaws…
tabled by the city’s senior architect Vinod Joshi.
– All the rules for transfer or ownership of any property in the city have been fixed
– The plan made for the construction of any house is a valid document
The height of the building cannot exceed 36 feet from road/35feet from the plinth and for this a DPC or plinth level certificate has to be obtained which is fully monitored.
Parking space is necessary in all the houses above 5 marla, However, people can get the exemption of not keeping the front boundary for car parking. Apart from this, people can also get permission for two gates or stilt parking in large plots if they apply.
– According to the house plan, every room and space should have lighting and ventilation.
