Chandigarh, Oct 31 – To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Haryana Police today observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas across the state.
On this occasion, DGP Haryana, Mr Manoj Yadava administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to the officers of Police Headquarters.
Paying tributes to the Iron Man of India, the DGP said that Sardar Patel was instrumental in building India into a united and independent nation by integrating 562 states into one unit. Everyone should dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among all fellow countrymen. He also lauded the role of Indian Police in keeping the nation united.
Prominent amongst those attended the e-pledge included ADGP Administration Mr A.S Chawla, ADGP Law and Order Mr Navdeep Singh Virk, DIG Mr Satender Kumar Gupta, DIG Mr Shashank Anand and other officers posted at police headquarters.
To mark the event, a pledge-taking ceremony to maintain the unity, integrity, and security of the nation was also organized in all police ranges and Commissioners of Police, Faridabad and Gurugram, besides the district police headquarters.
