Biofuels must be used to make the world pollution-free: Subodh Choudhry
World Biofuel Day: HPCL kicks off awareness campaign on biofuel
CHANDIGARH, August 12
“The use of biofuels is the need of the hour to make the world pollution-free as global pollution is leaving a fatal impact on human life. In this modern and fast-paced era, people are forced to use modern means of transportation but considering the level of pollution and its consequences, people must focus on using less polluting fuel, that is biofuels”, said state level coordinator, Chandigarh Oil Industry, Subodh Choudhry, on World Biofuel Day.
To celebrate the World Biofuel Day, with this year’s theme ‘Biofuels towards a carbon neutral world’, the Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) kicked off an awareness campaign in Chandigarh. Banners, standees and hoardings have been set up at various retail outlets and LPG distributorship in Chandigarh UT.
While inaugurating the awareness campaign, Subodh Choudhry further said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of inaugurating 2G Ethanol Plant at Panipat on the occasion of World Biofuel Day, will further help in spreading awareness about the biofuels. People can use the less-polluting fuel and to help the government in fulfilling this initiative, all petroleum and gas companies will plan to take similar initiatives.”
