Tech-mahindra Chandigarh Campus realizing the indispensable role of ambulance services in emergency pre-hospital medical care, patient transfer, ease of access to health services

22 September, 2021: Tech-mahindra Chandigarh Campus realizing the indispensable role of ambulance services in emergency pre-hospital medical care, patient transfer, ease of access to health services particularly to the common  people of Chandigarh has undertaken initiative of providing two ambulances to Tera Hi Tera Mission Hospital  as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Vinod  P Kavle, Secretary Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration & Ms. Nitika Pawar, Director Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration in the presence of   Facility head,  Tech-Mahindra campus, Mr. Anuj Suri by flagging off both ambulances from Tech-Mahindra Chandigarh  Campus, Chandigarh Technology Park to Tera Hi Tera Mission Hospital , Sector- 26, Chandigarh on 22nd May, 2014.

The ambulances has been donated  to enable  Tera Hi Tera Hospital to provide better medical and relief services to the needy people, and to render various humanitarian services like taking the sick and ailing poor patients of remote areas to hospital especially from the economical weaker section of the society who comes to hospital for treatment. Tech-Mahindra has donated   2  such ambulances to city  Hospital  under its CSR initiative with the objective that it will strengthen the Public health infrastructure, increase confidence of people in public healthcare services and enhanced utilization of public health infrastructure particularly for needy people.

Mr. Vinod P Kavle said that “Healthcare services has been  the prime focus  after outbreak of  COVID-19  pandemic. The Healthcare services needs to be strengthen so that it can be easily accessible to common people especially from economically weaker section of society.  He  lauded the step taken by Tech-Mahindra to donate ambulance to Hospital which will be helpful in serving the needy patients. He urged that the corporates should come forward and generously help in serving the common people “

Ms Nitika Pawar said that “ The donation of these ambulances will enable the accessibility of ambulance services to a wider section of community, who currently do not have access to basic health services.  She applauded this  noble initiative which will help in responding  to emergencies faster and more effectively”
