Wall painting competition held at Kot Dharmu under SVEEP campaign
ADC and SDM urged people to use the right to vote to the maximum extent
Kot Dharmau/Mansa, May 15:
In view of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, on the direction of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shri Paramveer Singh and the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner Shri Nirmal Osepchan under the voter awareness campaign SVEEP, wall painting competition for school students was held at village Kot Dharmu of Constituency 97-Sardulgarh of District Mansa.
This competition was inaugurated by Assistant Returning Officer-cum-SDM Sardulgarh, Shri Nitesh Jain, IAS.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Shri Nirmal Osepchan, I.A.S. and Assistant Returning Officer-cum-SDM Sardulgarh Shri Nitesh Jain made people aware about the importance of voting and gave a message to use the right to vote in the Lok Sabha elections. SDM Shri Nitesh Jain said that 40 teams of 400 students and art craft teachers from 22 middle, high and senior secondary schools of the district participated in this competition and encouraged people to exercise their right to vote by making them aware of the importance of voting through wall paintings. Displaying their artistic prowess the students covered around 5000 square feet area with wall paintings.
On this occasion, with the help of residents of the village the district administration made special arrangements for participants. A medical team was also deployed keeping in mind the health and safety of the students.
District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Smt. Bhupinder Kaur and her team including Principal, Shri Paramjit Singh Bhogal, Principal Smt. Kamaljit Kaur, Principal Shri Kuldeep Singh, Head Master Shri Harpreet Singh, District SVEEP Nodal Officer Shri Narinder Singh Mohal, and Nodal Officer for SVEEP in Sardulgarh constituency, Shri Angrez Singh were present for the event.
On this occasion Naib Tehsildar Shri Udit Vohra and Smt. Kusum Jain, BDPO were also present. The entire program was carried out with the support of Dera Namdhari Baba Shri Jang Singh Ji Kot Dharmu, Nagar Panchayat, the staff of Government High and Primary School Kot Dharmu and the residents of the village.
