EIGHT DAYS FDP ON UNIVERSAL HUMAN VALUES AT PU UIET
Students of higher education especially in technical education find themselves deprived of self development avenues that can keep them emotionally strong and resilient during the ups and downs of their study period and later in life too. How to understand the larger purpose of life when there seems to be omnipresent pressure to score good marks and secure a good job. Is it the only way to success?NEP aims to provide students multidisciplinary and holistic education which is value based and also provides students with 21st century skills. In order to help students understand and adopt a value based way of life, a cell for Promotion of Universal Human Values has been established in Panjab University this year.Panjab University has introduced three credit Value Added Course ( VAC) from this session which any student can enrol for.
To make faculty members aware about the AICTE developed course of Universal Human Values and to acquaint them with the methodology and pedagogy to transmit it among students , Panjab University in collaboration with AICTE will be conducting a faculty development program for the teachers under the aegis of RUSA scheme.
Faculty members teaching in the university, Engineering Institutions and colleges irrespective of their discipline will be attending this eight days offline FDP which will begin from 12 July 2023 and conclude on 19 July 2023 as informed by Dr. Gaurav Sapra and Dr. Rajesh the coordinators from UIET. The engaging and reflective sessions will be from 9 am to 6 pm on each day.
The inaugural function will be graced by Vice Chancellor Prof Renu Vig and Prof. Rajiv Puri RUSA coordinator. More than 40 participants have registered for this innovative FDP . Resource persons from AICTE team have already conducted many such programs in the last five years and it will be first program of its kind to be conducted at UIET.
