Residents of Chandigarh gathered again at Sukhna Lake demanding their right to sell or purchase share wise property in Chandigarh. Harpal Singh President of Chandigarh Property Share Holders Welfare Association said that their legal advisors are contemplating to move contempt proceedings against concerned officers of the UT Administration. planning to send a legal notice to the Chandigarh administration for contempt of court orders. Advocate Sushil Ghai ( who has filed a writ for publishing minutes of the Heritage Committee meeting) also said that he was planning to initiate contempt proceedings. He said as per newspaper reports the Heritage commity has said that no change in CMP 2031 or Bylaws 2017 is needed. As such the old status should continue. He further said that DC has no power to amend estate rules of UT Chandigarh.
