Mrs. Harbhajan Kaur, a well-known Philanthropist, continues her generous acts of charity as she donates Defibrillator to the Deptt. of General Surgery, PGIMER.
Continuing her generous acts of charity, Mrs. Harbhajan Kaur, a well-known philanthropist and an ex-employee of Punjab Markfed, showcased another exemplary gesture as she donated Defibrillator to the Deptt. of General Surgery, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Mrs Harbhajan Kaur along with her family including husband, son, daughter in law and 14 year old grandson handed over Defibrillator to HOD, Prof. Arunanshu Behera, Deptt. of General Surgery, PGIMER in his office in the presence of senior faculty from the department. The defibrillator will be given to the Deptt. of General Surgery after following the due procedure of the institute.
Expressing his gratitude, Prof. Arunanshu Behera, Head, Deptt. of General Surgery, PGIMER said, “With the donation of defibrillator today, Mrs Harbhajan Kaur has immensely contributed in providing continued excellent care to the patients at PGIMER. This noble contribution will help in better emergency care, particularly for the resuscitation of patients here in the institute.”
Mrs. Harbhajan Kaur stated, “My only wish is to donate this defibrillator to bring comfort to the patients and help the Department of General Surgery as a gesture of goodwill.”
Today’s generous donation of Defibrillator costing approximately Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs) comes as a continuation of the tradition of charitable contributions made by Mrs. Harbhajan Kaur and her family including her grandchildren to the cause of poor and destitute here in PGIMER for the past number of years amounting to Rupees Fifty Lakhs.
