University Business School of Panjab University under G20 organised a webinar on topic “Exploring Job Opportunities in Europe after MBA”, facilitated by Public Relations Cell, UBS Chandigarh and given by Kushagra Mishra (alumnus of batch-2011) who is currently working as a Senior Project Manager- SAP S/4, Hana Data Migration Programme.
In the session, he focussed about the trend of recognized international companies hiring people who have excelled or constantly working to improve their skills in their particular domain, irrespective of any language training. For this, he advised the students to develop some extra curricular skills that would help them in longer run. He advised the students to work upon their language skills as well because major companies in countries like Germany, Netherlands and France are hiring Indian People. He also mentioned the importance of keeping your job profiles updated on various important job platforms like Linkedin, Xing and Indeed as these sites are majorly used for hiring corporates in outside countries. Further, he added on to do various profile matching certification courses from sutes such as Udemy, Coursera, although they won’t be able to provide much practical approach but would definitely give an advantage or leverage to students on shortlisting criteria.
In his concluding remarks, he advised all to strike a perfect balance between the theory and practical approach required by current industries. He explained to the audience that developing transformational business skills is not a one-day process but requires consistent efforts. He also added that he has come this far because of the incredible support that our distinguished and eminent alumni have provided given to hin and he will also continue to provide an exhilarating and life-changing experience to students im upcoming batches as well.
