On February 23, 2023, the Sanatan Dharma Aadarsh Foundation(An NGO of GGDSD College), in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, organised a talk and discussion on cancer and oncology research.

On February 23, 2023, the Sanatan Dharma Aadarsh Foundation(An NGO of GGDSD College), in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, organised a talk and discussion on cancer and oncology research. Dr. Ajay Sharma, principal of the college, welcomed the guest. The principal requested that the student get maximum knowledge from the speaker and ask as many questions as possible. Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Medical Officer of GGDSD College, introduced the students and the guests with the Doctors. He gave a brief introduction about the problem of cancer arising in India. Dr. Naval Bansal, an endocrine and breast cancer expert at Fortis, explained to the students about cancer, specifically breast cancer. He explained the causes and treatment of breast cancer. The session was followed by questions and doubts of students which were answered by Dr. Naval Bansal.  After that, a session on mental health and stress management was led by Dr. Mehraaj Sandhu, a neuropsychiatrist and de-addiction specialist at Fortis. Dr. Mehraaj motivated the students to focus as much on their mental health as on their physical health. He gave various tips on how one can live a stress-free life. The session was followed by questions and doubts from students, which were answered by Dr. Mehraaj Sandhu. Dr. Amandeep Kaur presented the official vote of thanks. She motivated the students to attend more such awareness sessions. The event ended with a lot of enrichment and enthusiasm.
