Memorandum handed over to Smt. Kiron kher regarding the grievances faced by the Students of Physiotherapy in PGIMER.
Chandigarh : The Student Association of Physical Therapy (SAPT, India) handed over the memorandum to Member of Parliament, Chandigarh, Smt. Kiron kher and apprised her regarding the grievances faced by the Students of Physiotherapy in PGIMER. The letter briefs about fundamentals like commencement of Masters of Physiotherapy course (MPT) , basic teaching faculty, classrooms for students, seminar room etc. On this occasion, National President of SAPT, Sh. Anirudh Uniyal stated that he has also submitted a memorandum to Hon’ble Prime Minister and Union Health Minister and humbly requested them to fulfill the basic demands of the students, so that they can contribute in the upliftment and development of the Nation! He has also requested the PGI administration to provide basic facilities to the students . He also emphasized on the importance of the commencement of Masters of Physiotherapy course for which SAPT has submitted memorandums to the PGI administration several times. If actions are not taken in this regard then the future of students will be in darkness and its side effects will be read on the treatment of the patients. These demands have been there since 1996 and the students have been deprived of it for 30 long years. Hon’ble Prime Minister, Union Health Minister,Hon’ble MP Madam& Director of PGI Chandigarh are requested to take immediate steps in the interests of the Students .
