The historic occasion of 200th birth anniversery of Maharishi Dayanand was an occasion to revisit the history for the future to come. The day was celebrated by the Department of Philosophy, Panjab University at 2:00 p.m on17th February 2023 in the main seminar room to mark the occasion. Many students, scholars, Professors and staff members were present to participate in the program organized to commemorate the day.
The celebration become an opportunity for healthy and open discussion between students, scholars, staff members and professors. The celebration began by introductory speeches by professors on Maharishi Dayanand’s life struggles, revolutionary ideas and practices. Which then lead to a vibrant series of question answer session were many of Maharishi Dayanand ideal were explored in the context of contempory times and needs.
