Congress MLA will seek discussion on more than 2 dozen issues in Vidhan Sabha
• Congress will seek answers from the government on the issues of OPS, Family ID, law & order, unemployment, e-tendering, education, roads, electricity, water and agriculture.
• People are facing innumerable problems, BJP-JJP cannot run away from responsibility- Aftab
February 14, Chandigarh: Congress MLAs are going to present more than two dozen Calling Attention and Adjournment Motions in the coming assembly session. Apart from this, dozens of issues will also be raised during the Zero Hour.
A meeting of the Congress Legislature Party had detailed discussions on key issues before the ensuing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha at the official residence of the Leader of Opposition. Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda did not attend the meeting due to ill health. In his absence, Shri Aftab Ahmed, Deputy Leader of the Legislature Party, presided over the meeting.
Addressing the press conference after the meeting, he said family identity card, illegal mining, unemployment, old pension scheme, increasing drug addiction, privatization of education, allegations of molestation on the minister, NGT cases, plight of cow shelters, increase in water rate, shortage of electricity, dilapidated condition of roads, demand for permanent jobs to sanitation workers, report of CAG, deduction of old age pension, non-compensation for damage to mustard and wheat crops, imposition of e-tendering on panchayats, implementation of right to recall, deteriorating law and order Congress MLAs will propose to discuss various issues such as the current status of sports and approval of the fourth floor in residential areas.
Aftab Ahmed said people of the state are facing innumerable problems. “Being a responsible opposition, Congress will seek answers from the government on every issue related to public interest. BJP-JJP will have to clarify their position on all their failures. The coalition government cannot run away from its responsibility,” he said.
Apart from this, a discussion was also held on the ‘Hath Se Jodo Hath’ campaign of the Congress. Through this campaign, the party is highlighting unemployment, price rise, corruption, increasing crime and all the failures of the government among the public. Raipur session of the party was also discussed in the meeting. The MLAs discussed issues to be raised during the party session and the responsibilities assigned to the state organization.
