Gyan Setu was established as University Think Tank in June 2018 as Knowledge Bridge between large reservoir of Veterans in Tricity and Faculty and Students. It was bold step to take strategic dialogue beyond Lutyens Delhi and Raisina Hill and bring it to City Beautiful. It is also in keeping with global trend of University based Think tanks.
Think tank has organized large number of Seminars, Round Tables, Special Lectures and Book Releases. Think tank had switched to on-line mode in last two years due to COVID-19.
Gyan Setu in resurgent mode is organizing Interactive discussion on 20 Jan 2023 on Geo-strategic Importance of Eurasia. Eurasia described by Halford Mackinder as the “heartland” is key to understanding strategic theory. Eurasia has witnessed many conflicts since World Wars including recent ones like Azerbaijan and Ukranian wars. Special Lecture will be delivered by Maj Gen BK Sharma, AVSM, SM and Bar, Director USI. The Lecture will be organized at CIL/SAIF Seminar Hall in Panjab University.
The Special Lecture is part of the new initiative- Hero Suraksha Samvad. Hero Group has undertaken to provide support to Security Dialogue in 2023. Gyan Setu will be launching its new web site.
