7th National Workshop on Health Systems Strengthening at PGIMER, Chandigarh will start from 12th December 2022
The Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health and AHSAS- Association for Health Systems Analysis and Strengthening will be conducting the 7th National workshop cum CME on Health Systems Strengthening from 12-16 December, 2022 in PGIMER.
This is a very comprehensive workshop and will cover major aspects of public health management, leadership and communication. The resource persons from eminent national and international organizations that matter in public health like Bill Melinda Gates Foundation, Nutrition International, JhPiego, UNICEF India, Alive and Thrive, Clinton Access International will be deliberating on the various topics of public health management.
Entire team from National Health Systems Resource Centre including Executive Director Dr Atul Kotwal and Dr Himanshu Bhushan will he participating. More than 50 participants will be attending the workshop.
“The country is passing through major reforms in the health systems. A public health management cadre is being created. Digital technologies are used in almost all technical and managerial services including procurement. A very ambitious National Digital Health Mission has been rolled out. Routine data is getting digitalised. Multisectoral involvement, effective communication and conflict resolutions are important but yet there are a lot of gaps in implementation. Patient safety and Quality of care have become increasingly important. Emphasis is getting shifted to medical audits and reviews. Medical laws are also becoming very stringent. It all requires a lot of skills.”. Professor Arun Aggarwal, the course director said. Professor Vivek Lal, director PGIMER will be inaugurating the event.
