Illegal structures under Periphery Control Act demolished by DC Office
Today the Enforcement Team led by Tehsildar Periphery carried out demolition drive in the periphery area of Chandigarh. Two godowns and one dhaba constructed unauthorisedly in village Daria and Mauli Jagran have been demolished today. These structures were demolished under the supervision of SDM (East) Nitish Singla. Building material being used for carrying out the illegal construction at these three sites has also been confiscated. This exercise was initiated on the directions of UT Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh, who had asked all Sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) to keep a check on unauthorised constructions in their areas and also in the periphery in their respective areas through enforcement teams.
