13th IJ Dewan Memorial Educational Workshop on “Organs talk – time to take Prevention” concluded
Today, was last day of 13th IJ Dewan Memorial Educational Workshop on “Organs Talk: Time to take prevention” organized for school children by the Department of Anatomy, PGI, Chandigarh. It was attended by the students of various schools from tricity like Bhavan Vidyalaya School, Gian Jyoti School, Gurukul Global School, Govt Model High school – 36, Chandigarh. Also, MBBS students of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS Mohali) participated very enthusiastically in the workshop. Students were very impressed and excited to learn about the ill-effects of unhealthy life style like smoking, drinking alcohol, driving without helmet, consuming junk food, excessive use of cell phones and consequences of antibiotic abuse through demonstrations on normal and diseased human body organs. Each and every participant was declared as the health ambassador. Teachers of various schools wished to bring their students every year to the workshop. Many pupils felt that such an educational workshop should reach every remote sector of India.
