Singh along with D.M.S (G.M.S.H.-16), Dr. Paramjit Singh and Nodal Officer (Oxygen), Dr. Manjeet Singh took a round of PSA oxygen plants and oxygen manifold in G.M.S.H.-16, Chandigarh today.

All the parameters (Pressure, Flow Rate & Purity) of PSA Oxygen plant were found to be in the desired range. The D.H.&F.W. has instructed the PSA plant staff to monitor the parameter regularly, maintain cleanliness & adequate fire fighting equipments in all oxygen facilities. Today Honorable Union Health Minister is monitoring PSA plants across country online through real-time data being shared by IOT instruments installed at PSA plants. The D.H.&F.W. has also reviewed all the Oxygen Portals, Mock Drill reports and the PSA training of staff in Chandigarh.

Achievements of Chandigarh in Oxygen Management are as follows:-
• PSA Mock Drills :- 100%
• PSA Plant Training :-
1. 10 Hours training – 105%
2. 180 Hours training – 128%
• ODAS Portal Adoption :- 100%
• Oxycare Portal Updation :- 100%
• NDMA Portal Updation :- 100%

Chandigarh has attained first place in country by achieving these targets well before time and efficiently managing other segments of Oxygen Management. Recently, a team of experts deputed by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to Chandigarh to study Oxygen Management System of Chandigarh visited all PSA Plant & Oxygen Manifolds in city Government Hospitals. The team had extensively examined all the facilities and found Chandigarh oxygen management system perfect and best in country. A batch of students of Local Engineering College has also been successfully trained in PSA Plants and Oxygen Manifold maintenance at GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Chandigarh has strengthened its Oxygen Generation & storage capacity by procuring additional oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, LMO tanks & installation of new PSA plants. Presently, total oxygen generation capacity (PSA) in Chandigarh is 5200 L.P.M. As per the directions of the Secretary Health, U.T., Chandigarh, a team of experts has already completed the task of visiting all private hospitals situated in Chandigarh to train & motivate health professionals regarding rational usage of medical oxygen and cutting down wastage of oxygen. Oxygen Management of city has also been declared as the Best Practice of State. So, as far as the availability of Oxygen during and surge in demand is concerned, Chandigarh is fully prepared to supply medical oxygen in all government as well as private hospitals in the city.
