Toycathon-2021 concluded with Government High School, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh winning the first position.

In the recently concluded Grand Finale (Physical Edition) of Toycathon 2021, a team from Government High School, Dadumajra, Chandigarh bagged the first position.
Three teams of Government High School, Dadu Majra, Chandigarh, namely the ‘Knowledge Hub’, ‘Car for Handicap’ and ‘Child Care Toy’ with three different projects were selected for the grand finale of Toycathon 2021 organized from 24-05-2022 to 25-05-2022 at Manav Anchal International institute of Research and studies Faridabad (Haryana).
The three membered team ‘Knowledge Hub’ comprising of students Yamraj, Dhruv and Vikas Khadka bagged the first position out of the total seven positions. Students of the winning team received trophy, certificates and cash prize of Rs. 25000/-. The winning project was based on a ‘shooting game’ based on learning stimulation through questioning.
The second team ‘Car for Handicap’, comprising of Suman, Vikas Khadka and Nikhil also received Special Appreciation from all the Jury members who appreciated the efforts of this team on the stage during the Valedictory Ceremony. Their project was based on a ‘fun car’ for handicapped persons who are not able to move their feet, hands or arms and can handle the fun car through the head movement and also control the car through voice command.
The students were mentored by two teachers of the school, namely, Bharat Bhushan, Social Science and Rekha Rano, JBT along with two mentors from Link foundation Resource Person, namely Jyoti Bala and Kamal Kant.
Toycathon 2021 an inter-ministerial initiative organized by Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell with support from All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It provides a unique opportunity for Students, Teachers, Start-ups and Toy experts/professionals in India to submit their innovative toys/games concepts and win large number of prizes worth Rs. 50 lakhs.
