Sambhang of Swami Ram Tirth Edu, cultural and H.M. society organized “ANKURAM” cultural event at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector – 16-B, Chandigarh. This event was organised with collaboration of Punjab Sangeet Natak Akadmi, and Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi Chandigarh
Chief Guest Sh. Balkar Sidhu, vice chairman of Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi inaugurated the function and distributed the prizes to winners. He also appreciated the efforts of young talents and encourage them to participate more in this type of cultural activities. Mr. Somesh, president Of Sambhang Theatre Group welcomed all and shared that The Sambhang Theatre Group is started by Late Dr. D. S. Gupt in 1982 in the memory of his younger son Late Sh. Prabhat ji, who was renowned theater personality and sacrificed his life by saving a young child. He also told that Sambhang Theatre Group is the only theatre group in North India, who is organising inter school competition every year for school children to showcase their talent and general secretary Mrs. Amarjyoti Sharma of Sambhang Theatre Group thanks the chief guests, participants & audience and said that this year “Natyotsav 2022 will be going to held in November month. The teachers of different schools of tri- city, Mr. Somesh & Mrs. Naseeb sung famous Punjabi tappe of Jagjeet & Chitra Singh and sung “tenu bairiyan de jhundh chon bulawan” & Mrs. Ishmeet Kaur, Mrs. Poornima, sung the various songs and students of different schools Ms. Leeza, Amrita, Pankhuri & Hridyaa presented the dance on stage. The winners of “Digital Natyotsav 2021” perform the Histrionic items and a presentation on “Difference between Histrionic and mimicry” showed by Anand Shukla ksha, directed by Subhasish.
Mrs Seema Gupta hosted the stage very beautifully. The award of Honour given to Mr. Jagjeet Sareen, Mr. B. D. Sharma, Ekta, Dr. Raj Kumar Malik, Mr. Harjeet Singh, Mr. Ajay Sharma, Mrs. Neena Deep, Mrs. Santosh Garg, Mrs Lalita Parkash, Mr. Prem Vig, Mr. K. K. Sharda, Mr. Devraj Tiyagi, & Mr. Bijender Singh. A organ donation camp by P. G. I. Chandigarh was also held for the awareness of public in this event.
