“The Himalayan Foundation Chandigarh” is a Non-Governmental Organisation, with the objective to create future leaders and serve humanity in the process.
The organisation has “Himalayan Club Trust” as its proud mentor, and focuses on serving society to the best of its resources. It works for a variety of social causes, including upliftment of underprivileged, animal welfare, menstrual hygiene, etc.
The Himalayan Foundation Chandigarh in collaboration with The Himalayan Foundation India celebrated Christmas in a unique way by visiting the homeless in slum areas with an aim to spread smiles amongst the less privileged ones. During the sweets distribution drive, the Himalayans spent moments of joy and glee along with these children and distributed sweets to commemorate a Merry Christmas.
A tree plantation drive was also conducted in order to step forward in making the Earth greener.
An hour was spent while planting trees in the slum area of Sector 38, Chandigarh and later visited the slum in the same sector, where sweets were distributed.
The Himalayans were full of enthusiasm and frolic to make this day special for this section of the society.
