Strategic Institute for Public Health Education and Research (SIPHER) and Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (Regd) organised a Blood Donation Camp in memory of Dr Raj Kumar Gupta for Thalasaemic patients today on 18th December 2021 at H No. 2297 Sector 35 C, Chandigarh. Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER , Chandigarh conducted this camp. Chandigarh University , Dr. Ashok Sharma’s Cornea Centre and Smile Foundation also participated in this nobel event.
Dr Ravikesh Srivastava Pro -Vice Chancellor, Chandigarh University was Chief Guest. The faculty and students of Chandigarh University also donated blood. Total 68 units of blood was collected from voluntary blood donors. 18 prospective donors were rejected during pre-donation examination.
