Social organization Sudha Society Foundation, Gurugram, celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2021, at Sector-46 ,Gurunank park Gurugram. The Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, Mr Dheeraj Kumar was the chief Guest of the function.
Ms Ruchi Saxena, President of Sudha Society, said that every citizen has to save the environment. To protect our health and the coming generation, everyone should plant and nurture trees and should boycott polythene. Just sending a WhatsApp message will not save the environment. The adornment of Mother Earth is from her greenery, from the trees, from the green crops. The name of our state is also Haryana i.e. Hara. Everyone has to come forward.
On this occasion, 11 nature lovers of Gurugram- Ms Vanshika, Richa Gupta,Mrs. Radhika Bajaj, Tanul, Mr Sanjay Sharma, Ravindra Singh, Sanjeev Khurana, GD Madan, PK Dixit, Satveer Yadav, Chetan Chauhan were given a certificate of appreciation + Gifts by Mr Dheeraj Kumar for their excellent work. Also, about 500 cloth bags were distributed with the message to not use plastic bags, to the poor families of Gurugram.
Mr Gopal Krishna Bhatnagar, Chairman said that Sudha Society’ foundation s main objective is to raise awareness to protect our nature and to look at various environmental issues that are increasing day by day. Everyday pollution on the earth is increasing because of the race for modernity. The consequences of which we get to see from time to time. Due to the sudden increase in the level of pollution in the environment, the temperature is also seen increasing, while at some places due to the increased level of pollution, there is no rain for a long time.
