Chandigarh.8 December,2020:This is for the information of the General Public and the Political Parties of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency that during this Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll-2021, an awareness vehicle prepared under the SVEEP programme was flagged off by Sh.Jagjit Singh,PCS, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, U.T., Chandigarh. This vehicle will cover whole area of Chandigarh and give vide publicity to the programme of Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll-2021, so that the maximum number of residents can enroll themselves in the Electoral Roll of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency. The Joint Chief Electoral Officer also requested all the residents of Chandigarh who have completed 18 years of age to enroll themselves. The official present in the vehicle will distribute/receive forms to/from the public.
A special van adjoined with the Mike and Speakers was rolled into the streets/alley/lanes/area of Kaimbala, Khuda Alisher, Village Dhanas, Kachi Colony- Dhanas, Sector-25 D etc., which comes under the jurisdiction of SDM-cum-AERO-01, UT Chandigarh, vide which the general public of the concerned area were awared about the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll w.r.t. 01.01.2021 as the Qualifying Date and the Special Survey which is on progress w.e.f 01.12.2020 to 14.12.2020. They were also educated about the form i.e. Form No. 6, 6A, 7, 8 & 8A. The young youth were also motivated with this activity to enroll themselves in to the Chandigarh Electoral Roll.
