Chandigarh.27 November,2020:A meeting on the review of Digitization of Land Record (Revenue Department) and the Sub Registrar Office, UT, Chandigarh held today under the Chairmanship of Sh Mandip Singh Brar Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh. The current status of work of digitization was reviewed and some key decisions were taken in this meeting. It was decided that the complete revenue record containing Record of Rights such as Jamabandis and Mutation Registers of UT Chandigarh would be digitized completely.
The Revenue Record would also then be integrated to the Sub-Registrar Office, thereby creating a complete online system. It would benefit the citizens as they would be able to check their ownership record online at their homes and through dedicated Kiosks. It would also help in pushing the rank of Ease of Doing Business by making the overall system more citizens friendly. Clear cut timelines are given in the meeting by the DC Chandigarh to the officers to complete the several tasks on time. The meeting was attended by Nazuk Kumar, ADC Chandigarh, SDM Centre, SDM East and Tahsildars of UT Chandigarh.
