AWOKE India Foundation celebrated “World Savings Day (30 October 2020)” throughout the month of October.

Engineering & Management Graduates in 17 colleges across 15 districts of UP & Uttarakhand, jointly with SEBI & NSE.

AWOKE India Foundation, did special campaign for the youth of Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand under which webinar on the theme of “Financial Management & Covid-19” were conducted.

30 October is celebrated as World Savings Day . In this context, like in previous years, AWOKE India conducted financial literacy and investor awareness programs through webinars for various sections of the society, mainly for youth, who are struggling with their employment, economic concerns and apprehensions. These program were organized by AWOKE India with the help of SEBI (SEBI), the regulatory body of the country’s securities market, and National Stock Exchange (NSE), the country’s major stock exchange,.
Webinar Conducted for College – MBA I.I.T. Kanpur, Praygrag Institute of Tech. and Mgnt. , Tirthankar Mahavir University, Muradabad, U.P. Institute of Design, Noida, Vivekananda College of Tech. and Mgnt. Aligarh, SMS, Lucknow, School of Business Management, Bulandshahar, Janta College, Bijnor, Disha Institute, Dhampur, Lingya’s Lalita Devi Institute, Delhi, Anand Engineering College , Agra, GGIT, Unnao, J.K. Institute, Bulandshahr, A.N.D. College, Kanpur, Neelam College of Engineering and Technology, Agra, and VSSD College Kanpur.
AWOKE India and Lucknow Management Association have been mandated by Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University for conducting these programs in colleges. In all these programs, more than 2000 students were made aware of the topics related to budget, savings, investment, money security, financial planning, need for health and life insurance, precautions at the time of investing, role of regulatory bodies, method of redressal, etc.
As a culmination of these programs, World Savings Day was celebrated on 30th and 31st of October with students from economically weaker section. We have distributed Piggy bank to the Students as well.
Keynote speakers of the above programs: Mr. Pravin Kumar Dwivedi, President of AWOKE India Foundation, Mr. Atul Agarwal DGM, SEBI, Miss Bhavika Wanchoo, Vice President, Northern Region NSE, Mr. Ankur Mittal, Northern Region Head, NSDL, Miss Niharika Gupta, Professor, Dr. Vinay Kandpal, Assistant Professor, Dr. Ankur Bhatnagar, Vice President, Shri Banke Bihari Educational Society.
Director of Institutions and member of management committee in the programs were also present. Shri B.V. On the occasion of World Savings Day, Mr. Pravin Kumar Dwivedi said that in the global disaster period of Covid-19, it is necessary to become financially aware for all sections of society, for achieving Sustainable development goals 2020 and $ 5 trillion economy in the country; It is very much important to develop an understanding in the financial matters.
AWOKE India Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 2012, works in the area of financial Literacy and Investor Awareness. It is the only “investor association” of Uttar Pradesh recognized by SEBI. In the last years, more than 350 awareness programs have been conducted in about 80 cities of the country and spread the message of financial awareness to more than 20,000 people, including different sections of the society like youth, students, doctors, professors, women, youth, retired people, Police and small and medium units are also included.
