Chandigarh.24 September,2020:The Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, U.T., Chandigarh is celebrating “POSHAN Maah” with full enthusiasm in UT Chandigarh under POSHAN Abhiyaan from 1st to 30th September, 2020. Series of activities are undertaken in the Anganwadi Centres to sensitize the citizens, enhance their participation and to associate them with the objective of eliminating malnutrition, anemia and ensuring 100% home deliveries, ensuring early initiation of breast feeding, full and complete immunization.
Due to COVID 19 situation, as per the guidelines of Ministry the Rashtriya POSHAN Maah 2020 is repositioned from conventional of digital mode of “Jan Andolan”, wherever required. The key protocols of COVID-19 are being followed during the Maah.
Keeping in view, the Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development UT, Chandigarh is organizing various motivational and inspirational activities in the Anganwadi Centres. As part of this the following events were held

During Rashtriya POSHAN Maah the activities are being conducted on daily basis at Anganwadi Centres in all periphery areas of UT Chandigarh for converting the POSHAN Abhiyaan into people’s movement and ensuring “Jan Bhagidari”.
