On December 1, 2024, SmartData Enterprises clinched the title in a thrilling final match of the TiE Chandigarh Cricket League 2024. The league was organized under TiE Chandigarh’s Social and Health Well-being Program, aimed at promoting the physical and mental health of entrepreneurs and professionals while fostering community bonding.
*Honorable Chief Guest and Address by Punjab’s Industry Minister*
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Punjab’s Cabinet Minister, Sardar Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, who praised the TiE Chandigarh Annual Cricket League for promoting entrepreneurship and team spirit. During his address, he highlighted the government’s efforts to empower entrepreneurship and industrial development, focusing on the achievements of the Invest Punjab portal. He shared that the portal is the top-ranking initiative among 28 states and 8 Union Territories, with over 55,000 entrepreneurs registered, the highest in India. Minister Sondh also announced the upcoming IT policy, which will be implemented by March 31, 2025, and is expected to create over 50,000 jobs. Additionally, a one-time settlement scheme for industrial disputes was also introduced.
*Semifinals and Final Highlights*
The league commenced with two exciting semifinal matches. In the first semifinal, Leading Edge Info Solutions triumphed over Cybrain Software Solutions. Cybrain, batting first, scored 114 runs, with key contributions from Gajay Patial (42) and Shivansh Kathuria (33). Leading Edge successfully chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand.
In the second semifinal, HeartTech Indians faced SmartData Enterprises. Batting first, SmartData posted 149 runs, with significant contributions from Kishori Lal (87) and Devender Rawat (28). Despite a strong performance by HeartTech, they fell short by just 1 run.
The final saw Leading Edge Info Solutions take on SmartData Enterprises. SmartData batted first, scoring 143 runs, with contributions from Kishori Lal (49) and Shashi Bhushan (47). Leading Edge fought hard but was bowled out for 135, giving SmartData an 8-run victory. Shashi Bhushan was awarded the Man of the Match for his excellent performance.

Before the final, a celebrity match took place between TiE President’s XI and TiE Founders’ XI. TiE President’s XI batted first and scored 110 runs, while TiE Founders’ XI managed 99 runs in their chase. A women’s match was also played, promoting inclusivity and gender equality.
