18th September 2024, The Chief Guest Mrs. Anuradha S. Chagti, CSS, Secretary, Social Welfare, Chandigarh Administration and Dr. Palika Arora, PCS, Director Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Chandigarh Administration and Ms. Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, CCPCR celebrated the program under Poshan Maah along with the children at Snehalaya.

The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest by planting a tree under the theme of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. Explaining the benefits of Poshan Maah, various dishes were prepared by Anganwadi workers using millets and their benefits were explained to the participants & guests.

During this program, songs and Bhangra performances were also performed by the children of CCI.

Highlighting this, Ms. Shipra Bansal, Chairperson, CCPCR informed that Educational Lectures in 450 Anganwadi Centres are being conducted topics comprising right age to go to school, hygiene, nutrition for mother-nurse, iron-rich foods for pregnant women, appropriate marriage age, and food enrichment.

During the address by the Chief Guest, she focused on nutrition and hygiene which is very necessary for the wellbeing of children. Mrs. Anuradha S. Chagti thanked all the guests and staff present in the program and appreciated the efforts of team to make the program success and motivated the children to consume healthy and nutritious food. The event culminated with the vote of thanks by Sh. Rajnish Kumar, Member, CCPCR. During this program, Mr. Sanjay Sharma, member, CCPCR, Sh. Lalit Arora, RM, Snehalaya, and staff of the CCPCR, UTCPS, CWC, DCPU and team of Snehalaya were also present.
