Chandigarh Achieves Remarkable 27% Growth in GST Collections for August 2024
Chandigarh, 4th September 2024: The Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has released the state-wise Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections data for August 2024. In a significant achievement, Union Territory Chandigarh has recorded a substantial 27% growth in its GST revenue for the month of August.
The total GST collection for August 2024 in Chandigarh stood at an impressive ₹244 crore, showcasing a robust increase of ₹52 crore compared to the ₹192 crore collected during the same period last year. This surge reflects the strong economic recovery and improved compliance in the region, reinforcing Chandigarh’s position as a key contributor to the national revenue.
