Cultural Bonanza at Tagore Theatre on the eve of India’s Independence.

The Chandigarh Education Department hosted a remarkable function at Tagore Theatre on the eve of 78th Independence Day. Sh. Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Sh. Abhijit Vijay Chaudhari Education Secretary, Sh. Rupesh Kumar Commissioner Excise and Taxation and Sh. HPS Brar Director School Education along with all the officials from the Education Department registered their presence in the event.

The program was aligned with the ongoing celebrations of HarGharTiranga. The cultural bonanza, showcased a splendid amalgamation of diverse performances that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of India. Focusing on Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat.

The program commenced with invoking the blessings of the lord hanuman. This performance by the students of Govt Model High school Sector 49 left the audience spellbound.The melodious song with a mix of bangla and hindi set the perfect tone for the ek Bharat shreshtha Bharat. It was followed by the brilliant display of ‘Kalbeliya dance’s by GMSSS 15.
The function featured a thought-provoking skit that brought to light the sacrifices made by the renowned freedom fighter Ram Prasad Bismil, who sacrificed his life in pursuit of India’s independence.
HarGharTiranga ruled the day as the dance by Kundan International school and choir of St. John’s school took the celebrations to a new high.

Dance on the viksit Bharat @2047 by DPS enthralled the audience. Its vibe was aptly matched by the concluding cultural item, the heart and soul of Punjab. Gidha by the GMSSS 37 D gave a perfect closure to this cultural extravaganza.

Adviser to the administrator Mr. Rajeev Verma IAS, poured his blessings on the students and teachers for putting up a great show. In his address he shared the importance of #HarGharTiranga and the deep thoughts of arousing the spirit of nationalism among citizens of India with this nationwide campaign. He remembered the sacrifices of all those who led a selfless life to gain freedom for the nation. Further he urged students to focus on skill building as they are the real wealth of this country.

As the function approached its grand finale, everyone stood in unison to pay tribute to the nation by singing the national anthem. The theatre echoed with the collective voices of pride and patriotism, symbolizing the unity and strength of a diverse nation under the tricolor. The entire evening was a spectacular display of India’s rich cultural tapestry, promoting harmony, unity, and pride in the nation’s heritage.

The celebration was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. The diverse array of performances, the enchanting cultural display, and the spirit of patriotism resonated with the audience, reminding them of India’s glorious past and inspiring hope for a brighter future.
