Mrs Kusum Garg, former Head, Department of Economics, GCG, Sec 11, Chandigarh, has made a humble and significant donation towards the welfare of patients at the prestigious Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI). Mrs. Garg and her daughter Ms Sonia Garg has generously donated an Ecco ambulance to PGI, as a gesture to assist in the smooth and safe transportation of sick and ill patients.
Recognizing the importance of timely shifting of the sick patients, Mrs. Kusum Garg has come forward selflessly to contribute towards the betterment of patient care services. The donated Ecco ambulance will be instrumental in ensuring that patients receive the required medical attention promptly, providing them with a safe and comfortable ride while being shifted.
The donation was officially received by Dr. Vipin koushal, Medical Superintendent, PGIMER, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the institute for Ms. Garg’s generous contribution. Applauding Ms. Garg’s compassion and community spirit, Dr Koushal said, ”The addition of the an ambulance to the hospital’s resources will undoubtedly enhance their ability to provide swift and efficient medical transportation, ultimately improving the overall patient experience”. Dr Navneet Dhaliwal, Officer In-charge Transport, Mr. N.K. Prarthi and other officials were also present on the occasions.
Ms. Kusum Garg, in her statement, said, “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the welfare of patients at PGI. It is my firm belief that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, deserves timely and efficient medical care. This humble donation of an Ecco ambulance is a small step towards fulfilling that belief and supporting the exceptional patient care provided at PGI.”
Mrs. Kusum donated Rs. 1.00 Lakh towards Mata Mansa Devi Bhandara Trust being run at PGI Sarai for the providing food to the patients and their attendants.
