Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra gets massive response at PGIMER

PGIMER proactively supports this initiative as evidenced by implementation of Ayushman Bharat Scheme : Director PGIMER

Over 400 visited Ayushman Bharat Stall and 52 were handed over Ayushman Bharat cards

“Taking forward Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision for a healthy India by making healthcare affordable and easily accessible, PGIMER has taken a proactive role in supporting this initiative by actively participating in the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Scheme”, stated Prof. Vivek Lal, Director PGIMER while addressing at the arrival of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra here at PGIMER today.

Elaborating on the tremendous success of ABPMJAY, the flagship program, here at PGIMER, the Director said, “Over 90 thousand patients from different parts of the country have received complex and costly medical Treatments at PGIMER under AB PMJAY. These poor patients have received high end complex treatments such as kidney transplant, knee replacement surgery; complex cardiovascular surgeries and cancer chemotherapy under this scheme which has helped them alleviate their pain and lead a more fruitful life. This was made possible because of AB PMJAY scheme without which these patents would have continued suffering in their lives.”

The pivotal moment of the event was the oath-taking ceremony by the Director of PGIMER accompanied by Prof. Vipin Koushal, Medical Superintendent, Prof. Ashok Kumar, Addl. Medical Superintendent, senior faculty, residents, staff, community representatives and general public. The oath underscored the importance of working towards a healthier, more harmonious, and prosperous society.

The oath taking ceremony was followed by a visit to various stalls wherein Prof. Vivek Lal expressed his commitment to the Bharat Sankalp mission, emphasizing the importance of ensuring healthcare reaches every corner of the nation.

In a significant step towards fostering the spirit of Viksit Bharat Sankalp, the Director PGIMER, distributed Ayushman Bharat cards to 52 beneficiaries at the stall, which was visited by over 400 here at PGIMER.

The stalls promoting Ujjwala Yojna, National Health Mission, National TB Programme, Road Safety, Ayushman Bharat Scheme here at PGIMER were abuzz with activity as staff and volunteers were seen counselling the visitors about various initiatives of the central government.

The event witnessed a diverse turnout, including patients, medical professionals, community representatives, general public showcasing the broad impact and relevance of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
