In the recently concluded Annual conference of the society of Nuclear Medicine, India held at AIIMS, Jodhpur (16-19 Nov,2023). Harneet Kaur PhD student of Prof. Baljinder Singh received the best paper Award (Alavi-Takalkar-Kumar) in the category of Molecular Oncology. She evaluated response in multiple myeloma using 68Ga-Pentixafor PET which images total body disease burden of CXCR4 – critical disease targets and PET biomarkers for disease evaluation and response assessment. In this category – Dr Suraj Kumar, senior resident of the department also received this award ( 3rd position). Ms. Kirti -an another PhD student of Prof Baljinder Singh also received 2nd Best paper award in the category of Radio-pharmacy and basic sciences. Her Ph D research is on the production of Sc44 using cyclotron for possible PET applications in oncology which is a collaborative work between INMAS and PGI.
Dr Ajay Kumar Chitkara was honored with the best (1st) paper award in nuclear cardiology( Prof Arun Malhotra award) for Comparative Analysis of Occupational effective dose and Imaging time in MPI: D-SPECT vs. Conventional SPECT/CT.
