ROTTO (North) PGIMER empowers the employees of Skill Development & Industrial Training Deptt., Haryana about the noble cause of Organ Donation
In its continued endeavor to promote the cause of organ donation, ROTTO North PGIMER conducted comprehensive session on Organ Donation for the employees of Skill Development & Industrial training Deptt. Haryana at Kaushal Bhawan, Panchkula today.
The session that was attended by over 150 employees and marked a significant step towards raising awareness and encouraging organ donation, provided the participants with essential information about the organ donation process, dispelling myths and clarifying doubts.
The resource team from ROTTO (North) PGIMER shared their knowledge and case studies, inspiring participants to consider becoming organ donors. The session also highlighted the significance of carrying an organ donor card, registering as a donor, and discussing one’s wishes with family members.
Commending the initiative undertaken by Skill Development & Industrial training Deptt., Haryana to take forward this national mandate, Prof Vipin Koushal, Medical Superintendent & Nodal Officer , ROTTO (North) PGIMER stated, “Organ donation is not just a selfless act; it’s a profound expression of humanity and compassion. When you choose to donate organs, you become a lifeline for someone in desperate need, giving them a second chance at life. Let us come together as a community and make a difference, one organ at a time.”
The session witnessed engaging discussion on the subject concluded on a good note with over 40 participants pledging for organ donation and many expressing their interest to volunteer for the cause.
