Local Community Comes Together for Amrit Kalash Yatra  and Swachhta Abhiyan Awareness Procession.

In a vibrant display of community spirit, the premises of St. Anne’s Convent School buzzed with activity as the clock struck 8.15 am today. A procession aimed at raising awareness about the Swachhta Abhiyan (Cleanliness Campaign), led by Mr.Gurpreet Singh , Councillor Ward No. 34, who graced the event as the chief guest.

Rev. Father Ambrose, the school manager, and the school Principal Sister Siji, joined hands with dedicated sisters, teachers, and enthusiastic students to spearhead the procession. They paraded through the streets, carrying flags ,placards and banners that bore powerful messages promoting cleanliness and hygiene.

What set this procession apart was its heartfelt commitment to the cause. It began with a symbolic act – the collection of mitti (earth) from the Amrit Kalash, right within the school’s own grounds. This earth, representative of purity and a clean environment, served as a poignant reminder of the importance of cleanliness in our lives.

The procession wound its way through Sector 32 market, drawing the attention of passersby and local residents. Their message was clear: Swachhta Abhiyan is not just a campaign; it’s a way of life that each citizen should embrace wholeheartedly.

As the procession moved forward, it became evident that the community’s dedication to cleanliness was unwavering. People from all walks of life came together in support of this noble cause, exemplifying the power of unity in striving for a cleaner and healthier environment.

This event not only raised awareness about Swachhta Abhiyan but also demonstrated the strength of a community determined to make a positive change. It is a testament to what can be achieved when people come together with a shared goal – a cleaner, greener, and more hygienic future for all.

As the procession concluded, it left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of those present, inspiring them to continue their efforts in making their surroundings cleaner and more beautiful.
