Outstanding Mentor Award of Endocrine Society of USA
It has been more laurels for PGIMER as Dr. Sanjay Bhadada, Prof. & Head, Deptt. of Endocrinology, PGIMER wins the distinct honor of being awarded Outstanding Mentor Award of the prestigious Endocrine Society of USA. Prof. Bhadada will receive this award in Boston, USA next year.
Expressing happiness, Prof. Bhadada stated, “Any honour is special and a reiteration that one is going on the right track. This award is all the more special as today being the Teachers’ Day, there could not have been a better occasion to receive this happy news. Also, it’s a huge gratification that the award was even applied by my students.”
The distinguished annual award recognizes a career commitment to mentoring and a significant positive impact on mentees’ education and career and has been awarded to Dr. Sanjay Bhadada for guiding students and PhD scholars.
Dr. Bhadada established one of the most highly sought-after advanced bone research lab in Southeast Asia and has mentored more than 40 endocrinology fellows and students and postdoctoral fellows, and many early career faculty.
As the current President of the Endocrine Society of India and as former Secretary of the Indian Society of Bone Mineral Research, he has provided outstanding leadership in expanding the training and educational venues for fellows and medical students at a national level. He is currently an Editorial Board Member for The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism.
