On August 24th, the St. Anne’s Convent School hosted an exhilarating Interschool Art and Craft Competition with the theme “Artistic Odyssey.” The opening ceremony was done by the School Manager Rev.Father Ambrose D’Souza ,the School Principal Sr.Siji Issac ,Sr.Regina and Sr..Leena. The event showcased the remarkable creative prowess of young minds as they embarked on a journey of imagination and expression. Students from various schools exhibited an array of innovative artwork, each depicting their interpretation of the theme.
The venue was adorned with an impressive display of paintings, sculptures, and crafts that captured the essence of an odyssey – a voyage filled with adventures, challenges, and personal growth. The participants skilfully blended colors, textures, and materials to craft their unique artistic narratives, leaving the audience in awe.
The judging panel, consisting of accomplished artists and educators, faced a challenging task in evaluating the submissions and selecting the winners. The event not only celebrated artistic talents but also fostered an environment of healthy competition and learning.Various tricity schools participated and got chance to display their talents .
Continuing the creative fervour, St. Anne’s Convent School hosted the Interschool Dance Competition on 25th, August themed “Unity in Diversity.” This event aimed to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds that make up our society, highlighting the beauty of unity amid diversity.
Talented dance troupes from different schools took to the stage, bringing to life the theme through captivating choreography, vibrant costumes, and harmonious music. The performances transcended linguistic and cultural boundaries, portraying a powerful message of inclusivity and harmony.
The competitions will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on all those who were fortunate enough to witness them.
St. Anne’s Convent School secured the top spot in the Inter-school dance competition as well as the Best Out of Waste category. Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School achieved the 2nd position, while in the Best Out of Waste, St. Mary’s earned the 3rd position. St. Mary’s also clinched the 1stposition in poster making, with Carmel Convent coming in 2nd and Infant Jesus in 3rd. In the group dance competition, Infant Jesus secured the 2nd place, and Chitkara International took the 3rd position.
