In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation, today on 22 July, Rozgar Melas were organized at 44 locations across the country. In this sequence, a job fair was organized at Postgraduate Government College for Girls, Sector 42, Chandigarh. The Union Minister of State for Energy and Heavy Industries Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar attended the program as the chief guest.
Addressing the newly appointed, Union Minister of State Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar said that Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has announced to provide 10 lakh jobs across the country. Under this Programme , a campaign is being run to fill the vacant posts in various ministries and departments of the Government of India and today, the 7th edition of the employment fair is being organized at various places across the country. The Union Minister said that as part of this campaign to provide employment, Offer of Appointment have been provided to the selected candidates for various posts in various departments of the Union Government in Chandigarh today and we all have witnessed this glorious moment.
The Union Minister congratulated the candidates who got the job and wished them a bright future. He extended best wishes on the success of the Rozgar Mela organized by the Central Board Of Indirect Taxes & Customs under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
The Union Minister of State said that this job fair is an important and important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation. He hoped that the job fair would act as a catalyst for employment generation in future and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for empowerment and contribution to the development of the nation.
Talking about the Karmayogi module, Shri Krishan Pal said that the freshers are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal where e-learning courses are made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.
He said that today’s occasion reminds us of the importance of skilled and competent professionals towards our work. He said that it is important that we invest in our human resources. Mr Gurjar said that we can ensure that our organizations remain competitive and that we can meet the challenges of the future. He said that it is our collective responsibility to create an environment that nurtures talent, fosters innovation and provides equal opportunities for all. Shri Krishan Pal expressed hope that the candidates who have got the Offer of Appointment will play an important role in the growth and development of the organizations. He said that the youth will bring with them a wealth of knowledge, skills and ideas which will help us move forward and provide the best service to our country.
