• Large number of people from different areas reached the program and presented their problems before the opposition.
Bhiwani, 9 July. Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced a fight to the finish with the ruling BJP-JJP coalition before massive crowds at the 8th ‘Vipak Aapke Samaksh’ programme at Bhiwani on Sunday.
Hooda started his address by calling Bhiwani as the boxing capital of Asia, said the enthusiasm of the crowds in Bhiwani would herald and era of change not only in the region, but all over Haryana. “This record breaking crowd will bring prosperity in this area,” and also announced that the next Vipaksh Aapke Samaksh program will be held in Hisar on Rajiv Gandhi Jayanti on August 20.
The turnout was so large that both the pandals were completely full and all the roads leading to the program venue were blocked and the entire Bhiwani was painted in Congress colours. There were as many people outside the venue as inside as people marched through the streets on drumbeats, raising slogans in support of the Congress party and Hooda. The former Chief Minister congratulated organizers and said the huge turnout of the public has turned the ‘Vipak Aapke Samaksh’ program into a big rally.
More than two dozen party MLAs, about 50 former ministers, former MLAs, MPs, former MPs, President of Congress SC Cell, senior leaders of the party, leaders of all frontal organizations including Congress Seva Dal, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI Workers were present in large numbers.
In his address, the Leader of the Opposition express his anguish over the decline of Haryana from the number one state in the country in 2014 in per capita income, investment, job creation, law and order, and sports to the top state in unemployment, inflation and crime.
“My aim is not to become the Chief Minister, but is to end unemployment, inflation, crime, drug addiction from Haryana. Today every section is troubled and unhappy with this government. Somewhere the clerks, somewhere the guest teachers, somewhere the cleaning staff are sitting on dharna. He This government had promised to double the income of the farmers but doubled the input costs,” he said.
“During our government, there was no tax on fertilizers, no tax on pesticides, no tax on tractor parts. Today, there is no compensation for crop failure. Yesterday Rahul Gandhi came to the fields of Sonepat and heard the problems of the farmers. Farmers do not get MSP. The BJP government has given the Agniveer scheme to Haryana, the state of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan. Now the youth of the country will be sent back home after 4 years. I assure the JCOs and jawans that I will fight for justice,” he said.
Hooda reminded that after Ch Bansilal, the state was running at a fast pace of development during the 10 years of our government. “Two universities were established in Bhiwani parliamentary constituency. Out of 35 colleges in the state, 5 were built in Bhiwani area. I ask this government, what have they done in the entire parliamentary constituency in the last 9 years,” Hooda questioned.
“When our government comes, we will give Rs 6000 as old age pension to the elderly. Old pension scheme will be given to the employees, plots of 100 yards each will be given to poor families and a 2 room house will be built on it. Cooking gas will be given to women for Rs 500. Creamy layer limit of backward class will be increased from 6 lakh to 10 lakh,” Hooda reiterated.
Addressing the people on the occasion, State Congress President Udaybhan said the large crowd present here is a symbol of the fact that the storm in favour of the Congress in the state, is turning into a tsunami, which blow away the BJP. The time has come to take account of 9 years from those who took votes by lying,” he stated.
“Today corruption is at its peak in the state. The credibility of constitutional institutions is in danger. People will have to consider if the BJP has delivered on its promises to deliver 15 lakh in every person’s account, double the income of farmers, 2 crore jobs every year, will travel in airplanes with slippers, Achche Din. Where are the promises,” he questioned.
“Instead of answering questions raised by Rahul Gandhi, his parliament membership was taken away by a conspiracy. Against this, we will register our protest by tying a black band on the Congress Bhawan in Kurukshetra on coming 12th July and observe a silent fast in Gandhian way,” he said and added that this government has cut off the ration cards and pensions of 10 lakh people in the name of family identity card and closed about five thousand schools.
MP Deepender Hooda said the he draws its courage from the support of the people and fight the battle for honesty. He said the people of Bhiwani had given sleepless nights to the government sitting in Chandigarh by turning out in such large numbers, despite the work of sowing in the fields in the rains.
He said the success of Leader of Opposition’s and the failure of the Chief Minister’s public dialogue program that the people of Haryana have made up their mind to bid farewell to the coalition government. “This program is the farewell program of this government. The ruling party and the opposition party have their own importance. When the ruling party does not listen to the voice of the public, then it becomes the responsibility of the opposition to go among the public and listen to their problems and reach the ears of the deaf government,” he pointed out.
“In the federal structure of our country, two governments run, one of the country and the other of the state. The Legislative Assembly in the state and the Parliament in the country are the temples of democracy. In the state. Under the leadership of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, all the MLAs of the Congress are raising the voice of the people in the Vidhansabha. Of the 15 MPs in both houses from Haryana, of which 14 belong to the ruling party and I am the only opposition MP from Haryana. I am a son of Haryana and I keeps raising the voice of the people of the state strongly in the Parliament,” he said and added that while raising the issues of the people in Parliament, he knows that he has the affection and blessings of more than 3 crore people of Haryana.
Deepender added that this government has set Haryana on fire and derailed the state from the track of development. “Haryana, which was a symbol of development, has been made a symbol of unemployment. We now have an army of unemployed in the state. If we don’t get employment, our youth will get trapped in the clutches of drugs and crime in desperation and despair,” he pointed out.
“In 9 years neither any new industry, nor factory was established in the state. One after the other got caught in the recruitment scam, crores of Rupees were recovered in their offices. Permanent jobs were abolished, , the youth of Haryana are not getting whatever few recruitments are carried out, people from outside states are getting the jobs,” he said.
“Earlier every year about 5000 were recruited in the army from Haryana alone, now in the Agniveer scheme, this will be reduced to only 963, in this also after 4 years only 240 Agniveers will be confirmed and 722 Agniveers will be retired by the government. Today the youth of Haryana is so disappointed that he is trying to leave Haryana and migrate from here,” he noted with concern.
He said that the government formed in the state on the foundation of corruption has made Haryana a symbol of corruption. “People wanted to get rid of the BJP government in the last election itself, and the people of Haryana had blown away the slogans of 75 Paar and Jamna Paar. After the elections, both BJP and JJP became true friends and formed a corrupt government in the state. Those who compromised in the name of Rs 5100 pension had actually compromised in the name of exemption from loot in Haryana. Departments were divided among themselves for the black money of corruption. BJP-JJP MLAs are themselves telling who has done how much corruption,” he stated.
Deepender said that the BJP-JJP government of the state is insulting every class; from farmers, laborers, MNREGA workers, sportsperson, employees, Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, elected to sarpanches. “They have been blinded into inaction In the arrogance of power. They only take the name of Hooda Saheb. Right from the Union Home Minister to the Chief Minister, Ministers, Presidents of the parties, all are taking the name of Hooda Saheb. If all the dishonest people in the state can unite, then all the honest people will unite and defeat this government,” he said.
