In a major step towards developing high-end start-ups, innovations, and facilities at Panjab University, under RUSA 2.0. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig inaugurated the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Pre-Incubation Centre of Chemical Sciences today at Department of Chemistry, Panjab University. The inauguration ceremony was graced by RUSA Co-ordinator Prof. Rajeev K Puri, senior faculty of the university and chairpersons of different departments. Prof. Sonal Singhal, Chairperson, Department of Chemistry informed that the Pre-Incubation in Chemical Science swill help the start-ups and innovation projects of the students of the Panjab University. The research scholars along with UG and PG students of the department gave the demonstration of the various instruments purchased under RUSA grant. In addition, Prof. Singhal’s research group displayed a lab scale prototype which is an initiative for the wastewater treatment at industrial level. Also, Prof. Chaudhary along with his research group displayed a nano functionalized natural fiber for water and air purification developed in their lab. Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig took keen interest in the RUSA project and also, appreciated the efforts of the students and faculty members of the Chemistry department.
