Electrifying performances by the children at the conclusion of the of Theatre workshop at Mohali organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra

Like every year, this year also, a one-month long summer Theatre workshop was organized by the city’s foremost cultural organization Pracheen Kala Kendra in its Sector 71 campus with the aim of making the long summer vacation enjoyable and interesting. Chandigarh’s young and talented theater artist Rishabh Sharma trained about 30 children in the age group of 5 to 15 years about the activities related to theatre, along with dialogue delivery, other important information related to drama, to boost the morale of children and also gave information about stage performance. This program was organized at Dr. Shobha Koser Indoor Auditorium in Mohali Complex of the Kendra from 5 pm here today.

 

This workshop was directed by young artist Rishabh Sharma. Who is a talented theater artist. Rishabh who is interested in theater since his childhood, is doing PhD from Veer Bahadur, Purvanchal University and he learnt and developed theater Art form from Theater Alankar. Rishabh has displayed his talent in many street plays and is also serving as one of the faculty in Alankar Theatre. Apart from this he is demonstrating this art in many schools and colleges and taught this through his amazing ideas.

 

The program was started with a fun-filled song, in which small children presented their fun-filled style very beautifully along with dance, after which the play “Andheri Nagri Chaupat Raja” was presented by children, in which current political system was satirized and at the same time the idea of contributing to the development of our country by giving best of our services to our own country and not abroad. The increasing trend of going abroad among the young generation, while staying in the country, the thought of bringing new dimensions to development in our country was also depicted through this play. At the end of the programme, all the children presented a dance which enthralled the audience.

In the end, Dr. Shobha Kosar, the Registrar of the Kendra gave certificates to the children and also encouraged the children and teachers with words of appreciation.
