STUDENTS OF KV K-AREA ZIRAKPUR SHOWCASE FULL VIGOUR AND ENTHUSIASM IN G20 ACTIVITIES

[Zirakpur], [15 June 2023] – The students of KV K-Area Zirakpur demonstrated their utmost enthusiasm and commitment as they actively participated in a series of G20 activities. The event kicked off at 6:30 am with a vibrant cycle rally and invigorating yog asanas, setting the tone for a day filled with engaging and educational experiences. The activities aimed to promote awareness and understanding of global issues among the students.

The schedule of G20 activities organized by KV Zirakpur included:

Cycle Rally and Yog Asanas: The morning started with an energetic cycle rally flagged off by the Principal Mrs. Deepika Sandhu, where students rode through the city streets, symbolizing the importance of sustainable transportation and a healthy lifestyle through posters hung to their cycles. Following the rally, students engaged in yog asanas, focusing on physical well-being and mental harmony.

Interschool Nukkad Natak Competition: Students showcased their talent and creativity through nukkad natak, a form of street theatre, where they enacted thought-provoking plays related to global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and gender equality, FLN and NIPUN Bharat. The performances aimed to raise awareness and encourage discussions on these pressing issues.

Rangoli Competition: A colorful rangoli competition was held, where students displayed their artistic skills by creating intricate and vibrant designs. The rangoli patterns were inspired by themes of peace, unity, and sustainable development, reflecting the spirit of the G20 summit.

Toy-Based Pedagogy Exhibition: The students organized an exhibition showcasing the innovative use of toys as a teaching tool. They demonstrated how toys can be utilized to engage students in interactive and experiential learning, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Workshop and School Participation: The G20 activities culminated in a workshop where several schools like Dikshant Global Public School, Lord Mahavir Public School, NRI, KV Dappar, KV Mohali and KV Mullanpur  and many more participated. The workshop began by lighting of the lamp and offering flowers to goddess Saraswati.  Principal Mrs Deepika Sandhu welcomed each and everyone and expressed her heart –felt gratitude.  The guest of honour were  Dr. Jitendra Sharma and Mrs. Mamta members of the Vidyalaya Management Committee of the school. Dr. Jitendra Sharma highlighted the role of the parents in contributing to G-20 Through real live examples of day to day life he emphasised on the mental well-being of every individual in society. Furthermore, the workshop  also focused on NIPUN Bharat, a nationwide program launched by the Government of India to enhance the quality of education and infrastructure in schools across the nation  The workshop provided a platform for teachers to share their ideas, insights, and collaborate on some other projects like FLN and related global issues.
